BIGGLESWADE

Aldi Biggleswade involved a major renovation of an old Co-op store. It is now a very large brand new Aldi and the grand opening took place on 29 November 2007.

Area Manager, Karen Walker made sure everything was ready for the day, working till 2am in the morning to get things ready for the Mayor to open the store at 9am. Serendipity made a 5.30am start to complete the 2 hour journey from Colchester, in time to entertain the waiting customers at 8.45.

It was a cold but dry day. The wind occasionally had a go - blowing the fruit stall's gazebo away at 1 point. But it was a successful day again thanks to the hard work and warmth of all the fabulous staff. Congratulations to all involved.
