BRIGHTON
The Aldi Brighton Grand store opening took place on 19 March 2009 and was one of the most amazing successes for Aldi so far. Serendipity arrived at 6am to set up to entertain the crowds from 7am. However, whilst there were already a handful of people waiting from 5.30, by the time of the official opening at 9am the queue stretched round the corner and nearly topped 400 people. Despite there being 2 lines of customers entering the store, and the staff working frantically to make sure everyone had a trolley, it was 10am before some people actually made there way into the store to start shopping!
