Serendipity in action

GRAVESEND

The newly refurbished Aldi store in London Road, Gravesend, Kent, reopened to the public after a 4 day refit. The Mayor - Ken Jones officially opened the store at 9am on 12 February 2009, and a constant stream of customers flowed through the doors for the rest of the day. Serendipity entertained the shoppers and staff with their usual blend of party music, only dampened slightly when ice on the roof began melting in the sunshine - all over Stuart's keyboard! Fortunately no permanent damage. The shoppers gave £17.36 in their 'charity bucket' and, with the gift from a fan (see page 2), Serendipity were able to send £60 to Operation Smile. Generous support for a great cause - THANK YOU! And congratulations to all the staff for a fantastic day.
