ROMFORD (The Market Place)
Aldi Romford (the Market) officially opened on Thursday 24th July 2008. Unfortunately Lyn was playing in Euro Disney on that day as so Serendipity were invited by the Area Manager, Gemma, to perform on Saturday 26th.
It was one of the hottest days of the year and the front of the store was a major heat trap. It was so hot Stuart was scared that his keyboard was actually going to self combust at one point. But everything functioned perfectly throughout the day and the music filled the market place and encouraged many visitors to check out the new store. Romford 21st Scout Group were present collecting for a new mini bus and the generous shoppers added another £37 towards Operation Smile.
