SELSDON

Only a few weeks behind schedule, Aldi Selsdon opened on 4 October 2007.

The distance from Colchester and the traffic on the M25 and Dartford Crossing, meant a journey of 2 hours to get to the store. However we were still set by 9.15 am in time for the official opening which was undertaken by children from Selsdon Primary School.

As well as music all day, the stores Area Manger, Marion Jentsch, had arranged free pop corn, balloon artists, a face painter and a dancing pink elephant to keep the shoppers entertained throughout the day.

Serendipity played from 8.45 to 4.15, almost non-stop throughout the day, and added to the carnival atmosphere of the store opening which proved to be a great success.
