It has all happened very quickly. Just last Wednesday we were put forward for the contract by one of our Agents and, after looking closely at our web site, P & O said that we could have the job the next day. We were thrilled and excited and obviously had to make a quick decision.
Although it is something we have dreamed of - being able to do 'Serendipity' full time, it was still a challenge to make the jump. Stuart has worked a day job in Insurance for the last 25 years. But even his Manager agreed this was just too good an opportunity to miss and he has had great encouragement and support from all his colleagues and associates.
Lyn has, for the last 9 years, been passing on her skills to pupils in various schools and colleges. However having worked as a professional musician before, she was soooo ready for this new opportunity! Anyone in Colchester probably heard her screaming with delight when she got the news!
For the time being our gigs remain as listed on the web site - including our Annual performance in Colchester Castle Park on 15th August. However we will have to confirm this with you again towards the end of July. Don't worry, there is internet access on line so we can keep you posted.
